Program Description
We look forward to the twenty-first Controversies and Advances in the Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease symposium and to returning to the beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel this November 30 – December 1, 2023!
The two-day scientific program will be available in summer 2023 and will offer realistic views on many controversial issues in cardiovascular disease today. A faculty of internationally known leaders share their knowledge and experiences with complex and controversial cases.
Target Audience
This conference is designed for cardiologists, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, perfusionists, ICU nurses, technicians and those involved in the diagnosis, treatment and care of individuals with controversial and complex cases of cardiac disease.
CME/CE Accreditation & Designation
Physicians:
Promedica International is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Promedica International designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Perfusionists:
The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) has approved a total of 17.60 Category 1 CEUs for perfusionists for Thursday, November 30 (9.60), and Friday, December 1 (8.0).
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS):
CCI does not approve CEUs directly, however CCI will accept CEUs that have already been approved by accredited sponsors of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). RCIS attendees will claim the physician certificate option when completing the online evaluation and can use that certificate to claim CEUs from CCI. Click for more information from CCI.
ABIM MOC Accreditation:
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 14.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points and Patient Safety MOC credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
Refunds
Cancellation & Refund Information
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and refunds will be subject to a $100 administration charge. Cancellations cannot be accepted over the telephone. Requests for cancellation must be submitted no less than 45 days from the conference date.
